HYGIENIC VALVE PRODUCTS
Valves & components for hygienic liquid processing
Hygienic valves have been manufactured by GEA for over 80 years. They are the core component in matrix-piped process plants and contribute significantly to the highest product quality. With our range of valves we provide the market with solutions for highly complex tasks as well as for basic functions. Our valves are economically designed for the application they are intended for.
The design of the valves and individual components without dead space satisfies the most exacting hygienic requirements and prevents unnecessary product losses.
Thanks to the metallic stops, the seals used are characterized by a very long service life. This significantly cuts operating costs.
With our T-smart butterfly valves we now have improved the product features significantly, unique in this combination. These butterfly valves have a new sealing design and do meet the world wide high hygienic demands for components in process plants.
VARIVENT® and ECOVENT® single-seat divert valves are used for simple divert functions in hygienic applications. The valves are characterized by their ease of operation and flexibility. The individual variants are designed for different flow directions. With T-smart, GEA offers a valve concept with basic functions, designed for economical processes.
MIXPROOF SHUT-OFF VALVES
VARIVENT® double-seat valves are used for mixproof shut-off of incompatible products at the pipe junctions. The structure of the VARIVENT® modular system means that many optional versions are available for adapting the valve optimally to the process. With T-smart we offer a valve concept with basic functions.
GEA offers different types of safety valves: Hygienic vacuum valves are used to secure lines in processing plants against impermissibly occurring vacuums (e.g. after sterilization). Our safety relief valves reliably protect process plants from overpressure.
TANK BOTTOM VALVES
VARIVENT® tank bottom valves are used for shutting off pipelines at tanks or containers. Various housing connections can be welded directly into the tank bottom, flush mounted into the tank bottom wall. With T-smart we offer a valve concept with basic functions.
The innovative VARICOMP Expansion Compensator is used for compensating expansion and tensions in pipe systems resulting from temperature differences. Due to its exceptional construction principle, it is additionally suitable for aseptic process applications.
FLANGE CONNECTIONS & FITTINGS
The valve housings can be specified with a welded-on or other connection fitting.
If the vertical ports within a valve have different configurations, there are different connection fittings. The seal which may be included corresponds to the sealing material of the valve.
MIXPROOF SHUT-OFF VALVES WITH SEAT LIFTING
VARIVENT® double-seat valves are used for mixproof shut-off of incompatible products at the pipe junctions. The 24 / 7 PMO Valve® describes double-seat valves that have been authorised for use in PMO-regulated systems.
Our sampling valves are used for drawing samples of liquids and viscous media. The VARIVENT® mixproof sampling valve recommends itself for use in automatic sampling systems and dosing functions.
TANK SAFETY SYSTEMS
The Tank Safety System VARITOP® is used for tank cleaning, for the protection of the tank against inadmissible overpressure and vacuum and for the control of the gas and liquid flow.
The T.VIS® control top is an optimal system for controlling and monitoring GEA valves of the series VARIVENT®, ECOVENT® & T-smart. This is available in several variants depending on the valve type, tasks and user convenience.
MIXPROOF DIVERT VALVES
VARIVENT® mixproof divert valves are used for distributing liquid in pipelines, i.e. for distributing a liquid from one pipeline into two others, in which case one of the two pipelines must be shut off from the outlet line with a mixproof function.
PRODUCT RECOVERY SYSTEMS
Cleaning of process lines is always an issue – both to meet the strictest criteria for hygienic design both also to gain as much product out of the pipes as possible. The answer to both cleaning and maximum output is a Product Recovery System.
GEA offers three different series of single-seat shut-off valves. VARIVENT® and ECOVENT® single-seat valves are used for simple shut-off in hygienic applications. To avoid water hammers, individual variants in the VARIVENT® modular system are configured for different flow directions. With T-smart we offer a valve concept with basic functions.
VARIVENT CONTROL VALVES
The VARIVENT® system’s modular design makes it possible to individually adjust control valves to specific process requirements. This results in economic efficiency for the system operator, optimized stock keeping, and cost-effective spare parts production due to the low diversity of parts.
